Before & After: Tiny Kitchen

Four very easy things made a huge impact in this tiny kitchen remodel. With space at such a premium, there were things we needed to do to open up the space visually and to help with organization so that it functioned well.

1. White, White, White paint

2. Open shelving, cut to run the length of the wall. Matching the bracket color to the wall helps create a floating and spacious effect.  Open shelving also helps to rid yourself of unnecessary dishware, gadgets, plastic containers etc.

3. Keeping food and kitchen basics in baskets, pottery & glass jars. Everything has a place and adding pattern and texture through food, ceramics and weaving helps the space not seem so stark with the all white background.

4. Living things. Plants, flowers, fruit & vegetables, ALWAYS make such a huge impact and makes any space feel more homey and alive.
