Projects.

I'm totally loving my projects right now.  They all differ from each other in major ways.

A colonial, a modern, a bungalow, a very tiny bath, and a little cafe.

I'll be posting updates...

Tracy Wilkinson

With it becoming a 'real' winter here in Minneapolis (15" of snow in one day and single degree temperature!); I took a little dream trip when I came across Tracy Wilkinson's house and pottery... it brought me back to California and the desert/ocean loveliness.  Warm. warm. warm.
You can purchase her pottery here.

Pretty Mommy studio

We've been working for the last week getting Michelle's studio up to snuff for a small pop-up and it has been a blast getting to hang out and collaborate with so many wonderful, creative people.
And for being a "work in progress" it looks pretty damn cute.

Thanks for hangin' Emily SKellyMatt, Nick, Emily, Amy, Ryan, Anna, Marvin!

if you're ever in Minneapolis, stop down we'd love to hang out with you!

... and again, thank you! to all of you instagram-ers, so that my lazy ass has pictures to share!

Senegal... a resolution.

My Aunt lived in Senegal for many many years when I was a kid.  She would send us pictures of these amazing places she would visit, beaches where she would hang out, and the day to day activity of her life there...  Since then, it has always been a place I've wanted to visit.  I recently saw these pictures of Senegalese buildings on Commune's blog and it brought back all those feelings of needing/wanting to go there... make it a resolution.

Propaganda posters

I'm a sucker for propaganda posters, Cuban, French, Bulgarian, one of my favorite books on my shelf is this one on the French student uprising in the late 60's.  When I came across these posters, I had to have them... I'd love to put them in a kid's room (is that weird?).

Finished Chairs

This spring, I refinished these chairs (set of 6) for Michelle, and I loved how they turned out.

I also found this vintage Thonet rocker for her... $10!  Painted it electric blue.

Luckily for me, Michelle is amazing about instagraming!

House & Garden 40's - 70's

I've just recently become aware of the coolness of House & Garden from 1940's - 1970's.  I was looking for a certain print on the Conde Nast site, and became smitten with all the amazing photographs from H&G magazine... here are just a few (sorry for the watermarks).

Roanna Wells

I stumbled across Roanna Wells website this morning.  She blew me away with her details.
Textile artist, hand stitched on wool.  Beautiful.
